The park commemorates the epic 1513 voyage of Ponce de Leon
and his landing on the shore of Florida on April 2 and at

Park at Geiger Point

On the Indian River at the southwest
end of the US-192 Melbourne Causeway.
Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark,
except for scheduled use.
This 7-acre community park projects into
the Indian River Lagoon offering scenic views and shoreline
fishing. With a .25-mile paved walkway connecting the picnic
shelter with grill, 2 picnic tables with grills, and benches,
it is a popular wayside stop and site for brown bag lunches.
FACILITY USE: First
come, first served. Please be courteous.

Lake Washington Park
6000 Lake Washington Road, Melbourne
FROM I-95 take the SR-518/Eau Gallie Blvd Exit 183 east 0.4
miles. Turn left on John Rodes and go 0.8 miles. Turn left
on Aurora Blvd and stay straight 1.3 miles. Turn left on Lake
Washington Road and go 1.5 miles to the end of the road.
FROM US Hwy 1 go west 5.6 miles to the end of Lake Washington
Road.
Boat ramps open 24 hours a day.
This shaded 25.96-acre community river park is along the shore
of Lake Washington which accesses the St. Johns River. The
park has ramps for power boats and a launch area for airboats.
Fishing is popular from the lake and fishing pier. Parking
is available for cars and trailers. Other facilities include
restrooms, a large pavilion, picnic shelters, and a playground
connected by a paved walkway.

turn right into the park.
FROM Sebastian Inlet go 1 mile north on SR-A1A.
Campground open to registered campers 24 hours a day
This 84.5-acre conservation area and urban
district river park on an island in the Indian River Lagoon
is near the Sebastian
Inlet marine ecosystems and the Atlantic Ocean. It features
campsites along the shoreline for convenient fishing, a boat
ramp, small fishing dock and fish cleaning station. Adjacent
to the camping area and connected by a bridge, Scout Island
offers primitive camping at a reasonable group rate and more
than a mile of nature trails. Nature walks are provided for
school children and organized groups by appointment.
