FROM US Hwy 1, go east 1.7 miles
on SR-520, turn right on South Tropical Trail and go 0.5 miles.

This wooded 3.8-acre community river
park in a neighborhood environment features a paved walkway
leading to a sheltered fishing pier featuring a beautiful
view of the Indian River. A small pavilion with 2 grills,
picnic tables with 6 grills, restrooms, benches, a shaded
playground and an open grassy area make this park ideal
for impromptu family picnics.

In the Colony Park subdivision west of
Courtenay Parkway, this wooded 4.74-acre neighborhood park
offers a shaded spot for group gatherings and active play.
Facilities include a small pavilion with 2 grills, picnic
tables and 2 grills, playground, game area, basketball court,
drinking fountain, and benches.

Robert P. Murkshe Memorial Park
1600 Atlantic Avenue S, Cocoa Beach
FROM SR-520, go 1.2 miles south on SR-A1A and turn left onto
16th Street.
Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark.
On the beach at 16th Street South, this 2.5-acre community
beach park is a local favorite. It offers access to the ocean
for surf fishing and beach activities, and features a small
parking area, paved walkway from restrooms to dune crossover,
outdoor shower, and picnic shelter in a landscaped setting.

park entrance is on the right.
FROM the Pineda Causeway (SR-404), go north on South Tropical
Trail/Courtenay Parkway 8.9 miles. The park is on the left.
Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark, except for scheduled use.
The wooded drive into this 37.77-acre community
park leads visitors to a full-featured playground. Nearby,
an interpretive
nature boardwalk invites walks and a Nature
Center
offers exhibits,
tours and classes. To

The
event pavilion with 4 grills is adjacent to restrooms with
a paved walkway leading to the playground and benches. Three
picnic shelters, grills, picnic tables, and a grass volleyball
court invite leisure activity.
The west side of the park features athletic facilities scheduled
for renovation and construction in 2005 through the Referedum
Project. Facilities will include a multiuse field, paved
pedway, and a pavilion with serving area and restrooms. For
