The North Area Persons with Disabilities Program offers a variety of social activities to mentally and physically challenged individuals. Programs for the Persons with Disabilities in Central Brevard are as varied as the participants. During the week the program travels to the locations of participants: care centers, schools, nursing homes. At least one evening per week an activity is held at a Community Center or Nature Center. Kiwanis Island Park Community Center
Participants walk, ride bikes, roll wheelchairs, strollers, etc. to raise funds for Special Olympics.
With a minimum $15 in pledges, participant receives lunch and a t-shirt.

The South Area Persons with Disabilities Recreation Program offers a wide variety of activities for developmentally and physically challenged individuals. Activities offer opportunities to socialize, practice new skills, participate in field trips, learn life skills, establish new friendships and serve the community. Throughout the year, the program offers weekly Friday dances, monthly field trips, movie nights, and Special Olympic practices. Each month a calendar of events is distributed to participants through either their day program or at Friday Night Dances. Call 321-255-4436 for more information.
